The gallery link that's getting operators 3 referrals per event
The Tip
Most operators send over a Dropbox folder or a Google Drive link after the event. Maybe a WeTransfer if they're feeling fancy. And then that's it — the relationship ends, the photos live in some generic folder, and your name is nowhere on any of it.
Here's the thing: that post-event gallery is getting shared. People send it to everyone who was at the party. Mom forwards it to the whole family. The bride texts it to her bridesmaids. Your photos are traveling, and your brand isn't going with them.
Fix it this week. Send a branded gallery — your logo, your company name, your website URL, your booking link — every single time. Not a file dump. An actual gallery page that looks like you built it.
When someone who wasn't even at the event clicks that link, they see your work *and* they know exactly who to call. Every share becomes a soft ad. Every download is a touchpoint with someone who didn't hire you yet.
The operators I know who do this consistently report one thing over and over: "I got booked by someone I never met because they saw the gallery from another client's event." That doesn't happen when you're sending a Dropbox link called "Ashley_Wedding_Finals."
Takes about five minutes to set up per event. The referral math is stupid-good. A $1,200 booking from a zero-effort gallery link is just free money.

The Story
Christine runs a solo operation in the Denver metro — weddings, corporate parties, the occasional sweet sixteen up in Castle Rock. For three years she delivered photos the same way: a Google Drive folder, link texted to the client, done. Professional enough. Nobody complained.
But nobody was really spreading the word either. She'd get a referral here and there, but nothing she could count on. Her calendar was full in summer and patchy from November through February. She was running Google ads at $300/month just to fill the gaps.
Last October, she started using a gallery platform that let her brand every single delivery — her logo on the header, her company name in the URL, a "Book your own event" button right on the page. Setup took about 20 minutes the first time, and after that it was maybe 5 minutes per event.
She didn't announce it. Didn't make a big deal of it. Just started sending a clean, branded gallery link instead of a Drive folder.
By December — two months later — she'd gotten three direct bookings from people who had received gallery links from other clients. Not from her Instagram. Not from Google. From people clicking around in a gallery at a family reunion and seeing her logo, clicking the booking link, and sending her a message.
One of those three was a $1,400 corporate holiday party. Another was a $1,100 winter wedding. The third became a repeat client who's now booked her twice more in 2025.
She killed the Google ads in January. "I was basically paying $300 a month to get leads I could've gotten for free if I'd just put my name on the thing I was already sending people," she told me.
Her referral rate has roughly tripled. She tracks it now. Average of three referral-source bookings per event month. That's new.

Try This Week
Before your next event delivery, add your logo, business name, and a booking link to whatever gallery you're sending. If your current system doesn't support that, find one that does — there are options at every price point. Send the branded gallery instead of a folder link and see how many times it gets forwarded.
Every share of a plain Dropbox folder is a missed introduction. Every share of a branded gallery is a referral on autopilot.
